You know how when you have taken courses and seminars and read books about mentoring...? When you have planned, organized, teach, and guide others about mentoring?
Well, the experience is nothing like that. It is more than just a book. It is many books compiled together. On different topics. For different people. With tons of more questions than answers, that you didn't even ask. It is not only a two-way street where you learn as much as you give and guide, but it is a constant roundabout where you are trying all of the exits to finally take the right way.
But in the end, I can say that I am glad it was such a rollercoaster experience, I am glad I took part in this project as a mentor, a friend, and support to such an amazing person. It was a constant learning process that it lasted even after the program finished.
